Jell-O 'Worm Shots'
Ingredients:
2 packages Your Favorite Jell-O flavor
(Lime Jell-O; pictured)
1 package Unflavored Gelatin
(for extra firmness)
¾ c Whipping Cream
2 ½ c Boiling Water
1 ½ c Vodka or Rum (Rum; pictured)
15 drops Food Coloring (matching)
100 Flexible Straws (or enough to fill container)
1 Container (worms will be as tall as the container - coffee can; pictured)
Directions: 1. Take the straws and flex them open and fill container tight. If you don’t have enough straws, you can put a rubber band around the straws to hold them tight. It is important that the straws have a tight fit so that the Jell-O mixture stays in the straws. You also can get longer 'worm shots' with a tighter fit.
2. Combine all gelatin in a pitcher, for ease of pouring. 3. Add boiling water and stir.
4. Add alcohol and stir.
5. Let it cool to lukewarm and add whipping cream and food coloring. (Pour mixture about half way info straws then add food coloring for second half; pictured)6. Add the Jell-O mixture to the straws in the container and let it set until firm.
7. Remove the 'worm shots' from the straws by holding them under warm water only long enough to rinse off excess and squeeze them out.
